You should also consider:

For most people, 4K remains the safer and more flexible option.

Can You Watch 4K Content on a 5K Monitor?

Yes, absolutely.

A 5K monitor can display 4K video. The software or display simply scales the content as needed.

What it cannot do is magically add real detail that isn’t present in the source.

A 4K movie does not suddenly become genuine 5K content because you watch it on a higher-resolution monitor.
