MOVA MOBIUS 60: Specs, Features, Pros & Cons

MOVA shares a parent company with Dreame, and the MOBIUS 60 is its flagship, built around a base station that changes the robot's mop pads by itself. The station stores several pairs and fits whichever one suits the surface the robot is about to clean, a job MOVA calls a first.

The rest of the specification is at the top of the category. Suction is rated at 30,000 Pa, flagship territory, and the battery is a 6,400 mAh cell. A laser turret retracts into the body, and legs lift the chassis over door tracks and tall thresholds. The dock washes the pads hot, dries them with hot air, doses detergent and can detach the mops before carpet.

That sounds complete, and a few gaps show underneath. The robot has no dirt detection, so it will not go back on its own to re-mop a patch that stays dirty. Its onboard water tank is small. MOVA also publishes no runtime or coverage figure, and the automatic water inlet depends on a hookup kit it sells only in some regions, so check your country before planning any plumbing.

It fits a home with several kinds of floor, tile in the kitchen, wood in the living room, perhaps a stone hallway, where each surface wants its own pad and raised thresholds have stopped earlier robots. The base is a large tower that needs a permanent corner. Where every room has the same floor, the swapping dock has nothing to do, and a simpler flagship does the same cleaning.

How this VS Score was computed

Score 66: each known spec is measured against the median of all robot vacuums (58 products), then weighted; 50 means level with that median. In classes of six or more, a value beyond the class’s 10th–90th percentile range counts as that limit, so one extreme product cannot set the scale. 46% of the scoreable weight could be used; unknown values, features not applicable to this class and proxies (battery capacity where a rated life exists) add or remove nothing.

Editor’s note

The MopSwap Hub is the news here. MOVA's base station stores three different pairs of mop pads and swaps them automatically, so the robot can use a heat-retaining pad on one floor type and something else on another without you kneeling down. MOVA calls it a first, and I have not found anyone else doing it.

Around that sits a properly specified flagship: retractable LiDAR so the robot fits under low furniture, chassis-lifting legs for thresholds up to 50 mm, hot-water mop washing, hot-air drying, automatic detergent dosing and automatic mop detachment. On the spec sheet it matches machines costing more.

The thing to know before buying, and it is a real one: the station has an automatic water inlet, and MOVA's manual says the hookup kit "needs to be purchased separately (only available in specific regions)". A verified buyer reports being told by MOVA support that the kit is not sold in the USA, after they had paid to prepare the plumbing. If a plumbed-in, hands-off dock is why you are looking at this, confirm availability before you spend anything.

Two smaller caveats. The tower is large at 42 by 47 by 59 cm, which is a lot of utility-room floor. And MOVA does not publish runtime or coverage figures, so sizing it to a big house means guessing.

Discounted from its list price, it sits just under true flagship money while carrying the flagship checklist plus a swap system nobody else has. It earns that money in a home with mixed flooring. In an apartment with one floor type, the MopSwap Hub is an expensive answer to a question you do not have.

The bottom line

The MOVA MOBIUS 60 earns a VS Score of 66, above the median of the 58 robot vacuums it is measured against (a score of 50 is level with that median).

Who it’s for
Mixed-flooring homes where one mop pad is wrong for the next room, and households with raised thresholds or door tracks that defeat ordinary robots, since the lifting legs handle those thresholds.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone in the US who wants a plumbed-in dock, since the water hookup kit is not sold here. Also wrong for small apartments, given the size of the tower, and for anyone needing published runtime or coverage figures, which MOVA does not provide.
The trade-off that matters
A novel mop-swapping dock, bought with size and a plumbing feature you may not be able to use. In a single-floor-type home you are paying extra for a mechanism that never earns its keep.
The main alternative
Dreame X50 Ultra: same parent company and the other mainstream robot with retractable lifting legs, if the MopSwap system is not the reason you are buying.
