Low, strong and built to climb describes the Saros 20 better than any single figure. Roborock has fitted suction rated at 36,000 Pa, a chassis that lifts itself over raised doorway trims and a 6,400 mAh battery into a body 79.8 mm tall, low enough for the gap under many sofas and beds.
It combines three systems the maker has named. StarSight 2.0 is the solid-state sensing that replaces the spinning laser turret and keeps the roof flat. AdaptiLift 3.0 is the chassis, which raises the robot on its wheels and a climbing arm to cross a two-layer threshold. Mopping is handled by a pair of spinning pads. The RockDock looks after all of it, washing the pads in water heated to 100 degrees Celsius, drying them with warm air, dosing detergent, refilling the robot's tank and emptying the bin into a bag.
Roborock publishes no volume for the robot's own bin or water tank, so the dock's emptying and refilling is what keeps a long run going. The DuoDivide main brush and the arc side brush are designed against tangles for homes with long hair or pets, and a FlexiArm mechanism swings the side brush and a side mop out toward walls and into corners. An RGB camera handles obstacle and stain recognition.
Its hardware earns its keep in homes with raised trims between rooms, low furniture and a lot on the floor, where the StarSight and AdaptiLift systems each get used every day.

The Roborock Saros 20 throws almost every piece of Roborock's current hardware at one problem, reaching the whole floor. Its suction rating is more than most homes will ever need, though it does help pull embedded grit out of medium-pile carpet.
Its slim build comes from StarSight navigation, which swaps the traditional spinning laser turret for solid-state sensing and lets the robot slide under low sofas and beds that stop taller machines. The AdaptiLift chassis works in the other direction. Roborock rates it for a first step of 4.5 cm followed by a second of 4.3 cm, so split-level rooms and raised doorway trims are far less likely to trap it.
Mopping uses two spinning pads that press harder when the camera spots a tough stain, and the robot sets them down at the dock before it vacuums carpet, so rugs stay dry. Anti-tangle brushes keep pet and human hair from wrapping the brush roll.
The RGB camera that recognizes obstacles and stains is the main caveat, because it also carries a remote video feature, and the usual smart-home privacy considerations apply.
Buy the Saros 20 if you want a low, high-climbing robot that also mops seriously and budget is secondary. It suits cluttered, split-level homes with low furniture. If you mostly want strong automation for less money, a step-down model will serve you better for the outlay.
