MOVA V50 Ultra Complete: Specs, Price, Pros & Cons

The V50 Ultra Complete is built around a pair of retractable legs. MOVA calls the system StepMaster: the robot pushes its chassis up to climb door tracks, raised saddles and the feet of U-shaped furniture that stop a wheeled robot. How high it climbs depends on which MOVA page you read. The product text gives a two-layer threshold of 6 cm and a single vertical step of 4.2 cm, while a gallery image on the same page labels the single step 1.5 in, about 38 mm. The two-layer figure only applies when the obstacle rises in two stages, so the single step is the one to hold against your own door saddle.

The second idea is a LiDAR turret that sinks into the body. With it lowered, MOVA puts the robot at 3.52 in tall, which gets it under kitchen toe kicks and some sofas, and the turret rises again in open rooms to see further.

In MOVA's range it now sits below the V70 Ultra Complete, which adds more suction, a slightly higher single step and a bagless dock. The V50 keeps a bagged dock, and MOVA says one 3.2 L bag lasts up to 100 days.

Mopping uses two spinning pads that lift 10.5 mm over carpet and can be left at the dock for vacuum-only runs. The dock holds two detergent compartments, one for a general floor cleaner and one for MOVA's pet odor eliminator, and the app chooses between them per job. It also refills the robot with warm water for mopping. MOVA rates suction at 24,000 Pa.

How this VS Score was computed

Score 75: each known spec is measured against the median of all robot vacuums (58 products), then weighted; 50 means level with that median. In classes of six or more, a value beyond the class’s 10th–90th percentile range counts as that limit, so one extreme product cannot set the scale. 40% of the scoreable weight could be used; unknown values, features not applicable to this class and proxies (battery capacity where a rated life exists) add or remove nothing.

Editor’s note

MOVA footnotes that suction rating as an in-house lab result, and each robot maker measures suction its own way, so it says little against a Roborock or a Dreame. The hair handling is better documented: a twin anti-tangle main brush, an offset side brush and a front wheel designed not to wrap hair, with a TUV SUD certificate quoted for the zero-tangling claim.

The battery is a 6,400 mAh pack, and MOVA publishes no runtime or area per charge. The manual gives about four and a half hours to recharge from low, so a large home that needs a mid-job top-up will sit idle for a while before the robot resumes.

Bags are the running cost the V70 avoids. In return, a sealed bag is the cleaner thing to throw out in a home with allergies, and the dock dries the dust box and the bag with warm air so a damp load does not start to smell. MOVA backs the V50 with a three-year warranty on its own US store.

Besides the odor detergent, the app has pet zones, a boost mode for larger particles and pet waste recognition, so the robot can avoid a mess instead of spreading it.

In early October 2026 MOVA's own store listed the newer V70 for less than the V50, and that is where I would hesitate. It leaves the bagged dock as the main reason to choose the older model.

The bottom line

The MOVA V50 Ultra Complete earns a VS Score of 75, above the median of the 58 robot vacuums it is measured against (a score of 50 is level with that median).

Who it’s for
A home with raised door saddles or stepped thresholds and a dog or cat, where someone would rather drop a sealed dust bag in the trash than empty a bin.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who wants a published runtime before spending this much, or who would rather not buy dust bags for the life of the dock.
The trade-off that matters
MOVA's climbing figures disagree across its own pages, so the robot's main selling point needs checking against the actual threshold before you rely on it.
The main alternative
MOVA V70 Ultra Complete: the newer sibling, if you would rather empty a bin than keep buying bags.

The VS Score is calculated from the weighted specifications above, each measured against the median of comparable robot vacuums — a shortlisting guide, not a substitute for your own priorities. See how we score.
