Coverage area settles this one before anything else gets a hearing. Measured at 4.8 air changes an hour, the Mighty2 covers a living room, the Dreo 338S covers a bedroom, and the Shark Compact Pro covers a nursery or the corner of a desk. The boxes tell a different story, because Dreo and Shark both quote a one-air-change figure that makes their machines look several times larger.
They end up side by side because all three are sensor-driven purifiers with carbon, an auto mode and a sleep setting, sold to the same households. What separates them is the size of the room and what comes with the filter.
The 338S has Wi-Fi, an app and voice control, a very low noise floor and a compact cylinder. It publishes a single airflow figure in place of proper smoke, dust and pollen ratings, and several specs are missing from its sheet. The Shark's main element lasts six years behind a washable pre-filter, which removes most of the running cost, yet Shark states no CADR, no decibel figure and no wattage, and claims no rated HEPA class.
Coway went the other way, and the Mighty2 cleans by far the largest room here on a modest power draw with no app, no voice and no Wi-Fi.
Put the Shark in anything bigger than a small bedroom and it falls behind. An open-plan living space is too much for the Dreo, whatever its box says. And a buyer who wants to schedule the purifier from a phone, or check air quality from the office, will find nothing to do with the Coway.
Editor’s note
I'd put the Mighty2 in any living room. Its smoke CADR of 240 CFM gives it 372 square feet at 4.8 air changes an hour, about double the Dreo's 178 and far beyond the Shark's 62. It draws 56 watts at full speed and has a 19 dB floor, close to the Dreo's 18. Its carbon and HEPA layers share one cartridge, and it has no connectivity at all.
The Dreo 338S is good at being quiet and controllable in a bedroom. Its 115 CFM figure is Dreo's own, labeled a CADR without the separate smoke, dust and pollen ratings that would let you check it, and the 856 square feet on the box is a one-air-change number. Buyers who would set auto mode once and leave it should look at the plain 338, which cleans the same way without Wi-Fi.
The Shark is the hardest to judge, because its 300 square foot headline is the only performance figure Shark gives. The long filter is the part I would credit, and the light-sensing night mode helps in a nursery. Anyone choosing by verified numbers should walk past it.

Size the room first and the choice follows. A living room or open-plan space needs the Mighty2, the only purifier here with the airflow for it, and it runs efficiently enough to leave on all day. It has no app of any kind. A bedroom or home office suits the Dreo 338S if you will use its scheduling and voice control, since the quiet floor and the app are the reasons to pick it. The Shark fits only the smallest room, and its case rests on the long-life filter and low running cost, taken on Shark's word because the spec sheet leaves out airflow, noise and power.
