A VeSync account stands between the Levoit Vital 200S and its best tricks. Scheduling and air-quality history live in the app, while the Coway Airmega Mighty2 and the Levoit Core 300 have no app, no Wi-Fi and no voice control at all. Between the two larger machines that is close to the whole decision, because on airflow they are nearly the same purifier. Levoit rates the Vital at 250 CFM of smoke CADR and Coway rates the Mighty2 at 240 CFM, both enough for a living room or a large bedroom.
The Core 300 is the odd one in the group. It is a bedroom purifier rated for about 222 square feet, with three speeds, a timer and no air-quality sensor. Anyone shopping for a living room should take it off the list, and anyone shopping for a small bedroom may not need either of the others.
The Vital has an app and a cleanable pre-filter, but Levoit calls its filter HEPA-grade, short of True HEPA, and the cartridge wants replacing more often. The Mighty2 has no remote control of any kind, and its carbon and HEPA layers are bonded into one cartridge, so both leave together.
The Core 300 has no sensor or automation and runs an older, less efficient motor, but it takes four Levoit cartridges, from the original to a smoke remover with an extra stage.
Between the larger pair, then, the question is whether an account and finer control are worth more than a longer filter interval and a quieter floor. The Core 300 answers a smaller question, and in a small bedroom nothing else here competes with it.
Editor’s note
The Mighty2 is the most complete appliance here. Against the old Mighty, Coway cut the power draw while lifting output, added a numeric particle readout that makes Smart mode trustworthy, and kept the Eco setting that stops the fan in clean air. Its combined cartridge can force out a healthy HEPA layer when the carbon fades in a room near the kitchen. It is also the heaviest of the three.
The Vital 200S is the pet owner's Levoit, and the washable pre-filter is the reason it exists. Levoit rates it at 50 W and a 23 dB floor, respectable figures but not efficient ones for its output. The app is close to essential, since without it you lose the history that shows whether the purifier is achieving anything.
The Core 300 is old and makes no secret of it. Levoit now rates it at 56 W, more than the far larger Vital, and its filter light runs on a clock instead of a sensor. It still earns its place through cheap filters and a cartridge that changes with a twist.

The Mighty2 is the pick for a living room or large bedroom when you want a purifier that runs for years without an account. Coway rates its floor at 19 dB, the quietest of the three, and a yearly cartridge keeps upkeep rare.
The Vital 200S wins the same size of room when a shedding pet lives there and the app will get used. Its washable pre-filter catches the hair before the main filter clogs, though that main filter still wants replacing about every seven months.
On a tight budget for a small bedroom, the Core 300 remains the safe default, and the 300S-P becomes the smarter buy whenever the gap between them narrows.
