The FlowWash system runs a rolling track mop that is rinsed with heated water continuously as it cleans, so the pad is not smearing yesterday's coffee across today's kitchen — the core failure of every spinning-pad design. Add 12N of downward pressure, an extending arm for edges, and a dock that washes at up to 176°F and the mopping hardware here is about as advanced as this category currently gets.
The vacuum side holds up too: 31,000Pa rated suction, a floating anti-tangle roller, and a 7,000mAh battery good for a rated 275 minutes, with a 2.5L dock bag Narwal rates at 120 days. Navigation uses dual RGB cameras plus LiDAR, and object recognition is genuinely strong — reviewers consistently rank it among the best at not eating cables. Processing stays on-device, which privacy-minded buyers will appreciate.
Now the caveats, because there are real ones. The onboard dustbin is a small 300ml, so the robot shuttles back to the dock more often in messy homes. Independent testing found stain removal good but short of what the hardware promises, and Narwal's app remains less mature than Roborock's — more quirks, occasional connectivity complaints. The track mop also lifts only 12mm, so deep-pile carpet homes should think twice, though carpet-avoidance modes are configurable.
At $1,299.99 this is a hard-floor specialist's machine. If your home is mostly tile, wood or laminate and mopping quality is the reason you are shopping, the Flow 2 is arguably the strongest choice on this site.
