Lemokey P1 HE: Specs, Price, Pros & Cons

An attempt to put magnetic switches inside an enthusiast keyboard rather than a gaming peripheral, and the specification says it worked. The Hall-effect side is complete — adjustable actuation, rapid trigger and true analog input.

What sets it apart is the build: a full aluminium case and plate on a gasket mount, with screw-in stabilisers and sound dampening, in a 75% layout with a rotary knob. It weighs more than most laptops, and that mass is what gives it a dense, quiet typing sound gaming boards rarely achieve.

Editor’s note

The P1 HE is Lemokey's attempt to put magnetic switches inside an enthusiast keyboard rather than a gaming peripheral, and the specification says it worked.

The Hall-effect side is complete: adjustable actuation, rapid trigger and true analog input, on Gateron Double-Rail Nebula magnetic switches. The build side is what sets it apart — a full aluminium case and plate on a gasket mount with screw-in PCB stabilisers and sound dampening, in a 75% layout with a rotary knob. At 1,650 g it is heavier than most laptops, and that mass is what gives it a dense, quiet typing sound that gaming boards rarely achieve.

Connection is tri-mode, which is unusual for a magnetic board — wired, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth for three devices — though polling is 1,000 Hz rather than the 8,000 Hz of the wired-only Wootings.

Battery is the specification to weigh: a quoted 100 hours, the shortest here by some way, and the price of driving per-key RGB on a board this size. Expect to charge it weekly if the lighting stays on.

Keycaps are PBT, switches are hot-swappable, and there is onboard profile storage.

Buy it if you want magnetic-switch response and a keyboard that feels genuinely premium to type on, and you can live with charging it often. Buy a Wooting if polling rate and latency are the point, or a mechanical Keychron if you do not need the sensing at all.

The bottom line

The Lemokey P1 HE earns a VS Score of 59, comfortably above average among the 101 keyboards we compare here. It stands out for rapid trigger, analog input and adjustable actuation. Just be aware of much shorter battery life and a much lower polling rate before you buy. For most buyers it is an easy recommendation.

The VS Score is calculated from the weighted specifications above, compared with every other keyboard we track — a shortlisting guide, not a substitute for your own priorities. See how we score.
