The scroll wheel free-spins, so a long document or spreadsheet flies past in a single flick and then locks for precise scrolling, and the wheel also tilts for horizontal movement — the two features that most separate a working mouse from a gaming one. There are eight buttons in a right-handed palm-grip shape.
It runs on a replaceable battery rather than a built-in cell, which means nothing degrades over the years and a dead mouse is solved with an AA rather than a cable.
At 134.8 g it is the heaviest conventional mouse here, and the sensor tops out at 1,000 DPI. Both are irrelevant for office work and rule it out entirely for gaming — this is not a mouse to aim with.
