The XG27AQNGV exists for one feature, and whether you should buy it comes down to whether that feature matters to you. It is an NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar monitor — hardware that strobes the backlight to sharpen motion, while variable refresh stays active. Older motion-blur reduction forced a choice between the two; the point of Pulsar is that you no longer have to make it.

The effect is on moving detail rather than still images. Text on a scrolling page and enemies moving across your view stay legible instead of smearing, and at 360 Hz on a 1440p panel with a 1 ms response, this is squarely a competitive-shooter display.

Be clear about the requirement: G-SYNC Pulsar is NVIDIA hardware and needs a compatible NVIDIA graphics card. On an AMD or Intel GPU you still get a fast 360 Hz monitor, but you are not getting the thing you paid extra for.

The rest is solid rather than special, and deliberately so.
