I can answer the first; the second is entirely yours.
The base keyboard is one of Razer's more serious boards. A 5052 aluminium top case over a steel plate, tape-modded PCB, lubricated stabilisers and two layers of dampening foam – this is the enthusiast recipe, and Razer has adopted it wholesale. Switches are Razer's Orange tactile Gen-3, and the PCB is hot-swappable with 3- or 5-pin switches, so you are not stuck with them. Wireless is Razer's 2.4 GHz HyperSpeed with a shared dongle for a Razer mouse, plus Bluetooth for three devices and USB-C wired. Razer quotes up to 980 hours of battery with lighting off, which is exceptional, and 1,000 Hz polling.
The compromises are familiar ones. The keycaps are doubleshot ABS, not PBT, so expect shine over time – more noticeable on light-coloured caps like these. There is no USB passthrough and no wrist rest in the box. And it runs on Synapse, which some people tolerate and some refuse to install; the onboard memory holds five profiles, so you can configure it and then uninstall the software.
